Reading the dreaded terms and conditions – and why it can save you a fortune
The terms detail exactly what is and what is not included in your rental, so it is always worth a glance to check it includes everything you think it does.
The basics to check for are:
The fuel policy – are you expected to bring the car back full or empty
The one-way – is it included in the price if you are taking it back to a different location to where you collected?
Driving license requirements – are you old enough to drive without paying a young driver surcharge? Have you had your license long enough? Is your license valid to drive in the country you are going to - or will you need an international driving license as well?
You might find that a different company which at first glance appeared to be more expensive could actually include a lot more in the basic price.
So in conclusion - if you are willing to take the five minutes to read the terms carefully when you book – you can be confident that you will pay exactly what you expect.
